Knowing how to call for help and receive up-to-date emergency information can help save lives!
If you must call 9-1-1, speak clearly, and do not hang up until the dispatcher has received and recorded all needed information. If possible, use a landline phone.
Cell phone calls to 9-1-1 go to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Vallejo and are then routed to the appropriate local jurisdiction. To avoid delay, pre-program your cell phone with the local Emergency Dispatch numbers and other important numbers listed below.

- Hillsborough – Hillsborough Town Hall, 1600 Floribunda Ave. (Walnut parking lot)
- Millbrae – 600 block of Millbrae Avenue between Elder and Palm, next to the Spur Trail
